Gustavsson, The Uncounted Realms

Magic is not constrained to the physical.  Great power can reside within unconventional forms or at least that is what he tells himself.  So far, he has no great feats to his name.  No miraculous endeavours or stunning victories line the pages of the leather bound book containing his tale.  It is a tale of trial and error, the latter largely outnumbering the few passages containing small moments of minor triumphs.  But, the future does not yet have a solid form.  It is malleable and incalculable.  For a mage, there are few limitations on what is possible when you explore the possibilities however unlikely.  Perhaps greatness is merely just around the next bend in the path.  Afterall, this realm was his domain just as much as it was anyone else's.  With a small flick of his hat, the candles became alight and he began to conjure with what magic he had left for a new future.
